14U USA Team Announcement

After a three-day showcase at Major League Baseball's Urban Youth Academy over Labor Day weekend, the CCYB-USA team completed its three games in top fashion.

Highlights of the game included a hustle play by starting short stop Christopher Rivera who tried to stop a ball hit sharply up the middle.

There were six West Coast teams consisting of 108 players who participated in the USA National Identification Series held at MLB's Urban Youth Academy in Compton, CA.

The teams gathered in the outfield to await USA's announcements.

Opening Day - Skills Test

The 14U USA National Identification Team selection has begun. Each respective team had time to warm up, stretch, get loose, throw a little, sprint a little and then sprint a lot during the start of their skills testing.

CCYB took the field for around the horn and in-field practice. They looked strong and confident, displaying each of their abilities at their positions.

Pictured in this sequence, Christopher fields ground balls hit to him at short stop and makes each play look "easy" while executing routine plays and turning two (double plays).
